Hello to you all in this 2025 year the Lord has given us! 😀
I hope you all had a wonderful Festive Season and entered this year with a renewed sense of hope and determination. Hope that as the doors of 2024 closed you look forward to what this new year brings, and determination that whatever went pear shaped last year you’ll get right this year!
Maybe, like me, you start every year definitely losing weight after all that festive cheer and after January has passed, the scale stays the same for the rest of the year…but I keep on saying that it’ll happen lol. I must admit though I’m ever optimistic! 🤣
Let me say one thing though, we’re all human with faults and failings so just remember, when one door closes the next door opens and that thought process has definitely helped me in my life. We just keep plodding on to the best of our ability. Life is a process and I for one am so grateful for this life even with its ups and downs.
Here in the Mother City there are Vaalies and tourists still aplenty. I think the Vaalies are making their way back if not already but the tourists are definitely still here with the restaurants all hiking their prices up to cash in on the wave. I don’t quite recall how many luxury cruise liners have entered our port so far this Summer Season but I feel sure the passengers fall in love with Cape Town even though the wind pumps non stop! Mind you, when the wind dies down man oh man, does one bake! My son and I took a drive through to Worcester, the temperature there was 45degrees and apparently in February that’s the temperature every day 🥵 Mind you, having lived in Pretoria for two years I know just how hot it gets there.
On a different note I know of a man going through a really tough time at present. Fortunately he has a loving family and close friends to encourage him through all the turmoil he’s experiencing. However, at the end of the day it’s up to him as to how he deals with the situation. He can either go down a dark hole of drinking/drugging etc or he can look at the glass half full instead of half empty, it’s his choice just like it’s all our choice so, be strong, be bold, be courageous and whatever is wrong with today can more than likely be improved upon tomorrow.
Until next time take care of yourself and each other.
Cheers!
